Preparations...For What?

A short term mission trip, an experience of a lifetime, the opportunity to bless others and be blessed, all of this but so much more. A chance held out to a person, an invitation to receive Christ as their personal savior. THIS is why we go.

In December we led a short term trip to La Ceiba, Honduras. This week long trip was full of medical clinics, dentist, counseling, children’s activities and drama evangelism. These were the activities to open the door and have the chance to build relationships, lead people to Christ and put them in contact with a church for discipleship. We saw many people in the clinic, helped many people, played with many children during our 5 days of ministry.

To me this was one of the easiest trips. We are beginning to see doors opened here in Costa Rica with the people who want to go. Doors are also opening up with other countries and people willing to receive a Latin team. Everyone is beginning to see the difference made and the blessing in both our lives and the lives of the people we help.

See the January Costa Rican News for more on this trip.
